Our JumpStart! youth program offers a variety of after-school, Saturday and summer activities for school age children ages 5-21 that experience intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This Program focuses on teaching communication and daily living skills through classroom-based activities and community-based instruction, targeting the development of fine & gross motor skills through dramatic play, sensory stimulation, recreation and community outings.

The Arc Lane County provides the one of the only after school and summer programs specifically designed for school age children that require additional cognitive and behavioral support needs, ranging from mild to significant. Families utilize these services which allows for parents to continue working and actively participate in the community. This program is also vital to the children to give them a “jumpstart” in developing the necessary skills to become more self-sufficient and prepare them to fully integrate into the community, including preparing them for future employment.
