STEPPING OUT The Stepping Out program offers recreational opportunities to adults with developmental disabilities. All program decisions are driven by each person’s individual preferences and needs. Stepping Out helps people to go out and have a good time, do what they want to be doing, and expand recreational and social opportunities. Over 30 adults are currently being served through the Stepping Out Program. Clients range from young adults who are at a stage in their lives where they need some self exploration to older adults who are at a retirement age. While at The Arc, participants engage in craft activities, enjoy their lunch, and immerse themselves in community outings. |
